The Peavy Family Foundation’s Create Change program is a local initiative that positions at-risk youth as apprentices to professional artists throughout the planning, design and execution phases of painting large-scale murals for nonprofits and small businesses all over Mobile, Alabama.
Create Change has several layers of impact:
- nurturing the entrepreneurial and artistic aspirations of at-risk youth
- generating paid work for local artists
- enhancing the community with public art
- drawing attention to the nonprofits and small businesses that receive free
